Karla Black has exhibited nationally and internationally, recently with major presentations at Scotland and Venice, 54th Venice Biennale, Venice and the Turner Prize exhibition at the Baltic, Gateshead (both 2011). Karla Black is one of the Turner Prize nominees for 2011.

Black also presented a solo exhibition at Mary Mary, Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2006.
