Kendall Koppe first moved to Scotland to study at the Glasgow School of Art where he graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art Photography in 2001. Koppe returned to Glasgow after completing an MA in Photographic Studies at The University of Westminster in 2005. He is the founding director of Washington Garcia Gallery, Glasgow, and he has recently exhibited work at Transmission Gallery, InterMedia Gallery and with artist-run organization A.Vermin.
Kendall Koppeās figurative works are embedded with non-descript gestures that hint at psychological spheres. His prints and photographs draw upon a surrealist vocabulary in which we find the traces of a disembodied search for belonging and unconscious states
