2012 festival project receives a Vital Sparks Award from Creative Scotland

Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art (GI) extends warmest congratulations to visual artist Graham Fagen and theatre director Graham Eatough who were today announced as recipients of a Creative Scotland Vital Sparks award.  Their collaboration, entitled Crime and Punishment will be a unique live event, exhibition and film that invites the audience into the places between art installation, promenade theatre and filmmaking.  A collaboration with Director of Photography Michael McDonough (Bowling for Columbine), the project will be one of the key commissions for the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012.

The Creative Scotland Vital Sparks programme encourages experimentation, radical new work and innovative approches to engaging with audiences.
Katrina Brown, Director of the Festival said:

“I’m excited at the prospect of working with Graham Eatough and Graham Fagen on their new project for the GI Festival in 2012 and delighted to see such an ambitious and genuinely collaborative and creative endeavour supported by Creative Scotland as it’s sure to add an important and memorable encounter to the Festival visitor’s experience”
