‘Open Glasgow’ is an initiative seeking artists’ proposals for imaginative and exciting projects conceived specifically for the city during the 2012 Festival.
A fund of £15,000 is available to the successful project(s).
Proposals are sought from individual artists for a project to take place in Glasgow during the Festival in 2012. The project can take any form, from a formal exhibition to an ephemeral event or production. Projects commissioned for the Open Glasgow strand of the 2010 festival were Urlibido, Sim-po-zeum and Le Drapeau Noir.
ELIGIBILITY
Artists should be currently based in or have been educated in Scotland and should have at least 3 years professional experience. Students in full-time education are not eligible to apply. Deadline for receipt of submissions is Friday 24th June 2011.
TIMELINE
The successful ‘Open Glasgow’ recipient(s) should be able to complete the proposed project for April 2012. Please see downloadable guidelines for applicant eligibility and submission process.
